The value of another nationality

The passport
is the document.
Choice is the benefit.

Think beyond how many countries a passport can enter. Another nationality can change where you build a life, which opportunities you can consider, and what your family can plan.

A different question to ask

Not “How many stamps?”
“What could change?”

Choose what matters to you. These are planning priorities, not financial returns or an eligibility score.

Could another country become a real home?

For a British citizen, the UK is not subject to ordinary immigration permission. For a Canadian citizen, the Charter protects entry and remaining in Canada. A nationality can change the starting point for a move. source ↗source ↗

Next question: whose rights would cover the move, and what would the rest of the household need?

Separate the concepts

A visitor visa is not a nationality.
A passport is not the whole status.

The questionTravel permissionAnother nationality
What are you establishing?Permission for a defined purpose and period.A legal connection to another country.
Does it mean a right to work? Not simply because a visit is allowed.Often in the country of citizenship; regional rights vary.
Does it cover family? Each person needs the required permission.Children and partners still need individual assessment.
Is it an investment return? No.No guaranteed financial return or savings.

The part worth being honest about

More options.
Not fewer responsibilities.

Know the passport rules.

Dual nationals can face passport requirements in both countries. US citizens, including dual nationals, must enter and leave the United States using a US passport. source ↗

Plan the tax position.

A second passport does not end US tax obligations. US citizens abroad generally remain subject to worldwide-income reporting and taxation, with relief provisions potentially relevant. source ↗

Understand the conditions.

Local laws and duties still apply. Dual nationality can affect consular assistance or create obligations such as military service in some countries. Review the actual country before relying on the benefits. source ↗

Start with what could be yours

Do not shop for
someone else's route.

A passport ranking cannot tell you which nationality your family history supports. The right place to begin is the connection you may already have, not the most impressive number on a comparison chart.

We research the line and the documentary facts. You decide how a supported possibility fits your life.

The Jackson & Schwab approach

You bring the names.
We do the research.

You do not need to know which ancestor qualifies. You need a starting point. We research the family line, examine the relevant nationality history and explain what the evidence supports.

  1. 01

    Start with what you know.

Names, approximate dates, places, family stories or existing records. Gaps are part of the work.

  2. 02

    Follow the evidence.

We trace the relevant line and the events that could affect nationality. Evidence gaps stay visible.

  3. 03

    Get a written next step.

A route assessment, the obstacles, missing proof and priorities for any further work.

Before you begin

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Are you selling passports?

No. This is a nationality research service. We do not sell citizenship, issue passports or guarantee an authority's decision.

Will another nationality give me free healthcare?

Not by itself. In the EU, health coverage depends on economic status and residence rather than simply nationality. Check the actual coverage rules before planning a move. source ↗

Is a second nationality always financially beneficial?

No. Costs, tax obligations, travel needs and family plans differ. We make no guaranteed-savings or investment-return claim. The scan answers a research question.

Can I keep US citizenship?

The US allows dual nationality, but the other country's rules and your circumstances must also be reviewed. Holding two nationalities can create obligations as well as rights. source ↗

What if I do not know where my ancestors came from?

Start with the names, places, approximate dates or family stories you have. You do not need to identify the qualifying country before asking for research.

Your family history may have more to tell you

Start with the question.
Discover the possibilities.

Your family history may support another nationality. Find out what the evidence says before deciding what it is worth to you.

Start with research. Make the next decision with evidence.
